Martin, From the sound of it, your garage was where the car liked to be. Was it warmer outside or cooler than in the garage? I'm not going to pretend to know about 355 ignitions but if the plugs don't work and you don't have spark, something in the ignition circuit was working in the garage but not outside. If it was warmer outside, get a can of compressed air and start cooling off the ignition components one at a time and try starting the car. Its possible the offending component will start working and you will have identified it. If it was cooler outside than in the garage, get a hair dryer and use heat on each component. If this doesn't work out you've only wasted a little time. Just a crazy suggestion. Good luck fixing it and I hope you can get to Sebring. |

Doc, yes I was running low on gas so I figured lets put in some more. That did nothing. I have not yet taken out the plug. Will do that today. just ordered a set from Ferrari along with other parts I need for the 355B I have in stock. So I will putting in new plugs and hope that will do. I guess I will not make it to Sebring after all this Sunday.

I thought Ferrari recommended a hotter plug for the 95's to prevent fouling? Does anybody know anything about that? |

The early 355s with the 2.7 Motronic will foul spark plugs as quickly as you describe. If the plugs are not allowed to get up to a reasonable temp (ie 5 min. run time) they will completely gas foul and the car will not start. If it is the early (95 and very early 96) ign. dont bother cleaning the plugs just replace them |

Martin -- by "no ignition" do you mean you've verified no spark, or could it still be a no fuel problem? |

I drove the 355 Challenge out of the garage to work in there and in the eve thec ar would not want to start back up. It turns over and makes puffing noises every so often but no ignition. Some strange thing.
