I have finished modifications to my seats and mounting rails as well. My modifications do require welding a small bracket under the car under the stock rear hole. The bracket is slotted to allow adjustment. The seat is then bolted right through the bracket into the seat threaded mate. This is available after the stock track is removed. The front is handled with angle iron that is sloted at the stock captive nut location and bolted to the seat in the stock track mounting "tab" location. This way the seat can be adjusted if the bolts are loosened and then tightened once the new seat position has been set. I did re-upholster the seats as part of my restoration of the car. I included a pass through for an anti-submarining belt on my track harness. I also further lowered the seat by cutting the metal mesh in the seat portion and welding it lower down on the seat frame. I still have to modify the roof panel to fit in the car with a helmet. Progress will be documented on my website. I will have pix of the seat details shortly. Evan |

Seat brackets (if you're talking about the mounting rails) are the same on 308 and 328. |

to all ... I should have all the pics, dimentions etc by next week. I'm not shure if they will fit a 348, unless some one can tell me if the stock 348 seats can be switched with stock 308 seats ..my guess is no. |

Axel: Great idea! I'm 6'4". My '78 308 is not too uncomfortable, but a few extra centimeters sure would's hurt. Please upload pics and let all of us know if you'll make a few extra pair for $$ ! |

Have fabricated 308 seat brackets for tall guys/gals. Uses orginal mounting holes (no drilling). Gives extra inch of head room and are set back as far as possible. Have installed in my friends GTS (he is 6'3") and my (I'm 6') GTB. No for and aft adjustment, once installed. I keep all orginal parts in a bag for the next owner. Will send pics, once I get some. |
