Best way to do this is to remove the metal heat sheilds that protect the fuel tank and fuel fill pipes under the car. Once those sheilds are removed, you can get you hand up in there form under the car in between the front manifold and the fuel tank.(you'll see what i mean when you remove the sheilds) Then you should have know problems undoing the bolt.

can someone please tell me how to access the bolt that loosens the alternator so i can replace my water pump /alternator belt on my 79 308. I have removed the wheel and the well behind it but that bolt is almost impossible to see much less reach. Please help...I would like to drive my car soon...Thanks.
