Those "in tank" screens only need to be replaced every 20-25 yrs on average (if that). It's the external filter that could stand a little attention every 5 yrs or so. |

Oh... I heard the filter was $80+ bucks, and you have to drain the tank. I was thinking put an inline, and I wouldn't have to ever drain the tank, and I'd be better motivated to replace it more often, since it'd be easy and cheap. |

Lee -- What is your motivation? Is the US-source or UK-source parts price for a stock replacement filter screen unreasonable? Adding more "external" components/connections to the fuel system isn't a plus IMO, or do you have some other reason(s)? |

I want to replace the intank filter on my carbed '79 GTS with just a hose fitting, then add a racing style inline filter. Does anyone know where I can get a fitting that will "thread" in? It looks like I can just unscrew it from the LHS fuel tank. Thanks!!! |
