Thanks Guys, I'll try to get this corrected this holiday weekend. You don't see any hazards in simply 'blocking' up this sag do you? Rather crude, but what the hell. I'd rather be driving my Ferrari than Q-tipping it to death... Verell, Sorry. LOL You crack me up! |

I did something similar to Eric, but simpler. I just cut a small wooden block the right size and shape that helps prop it up at the correct height when the console is screwed down under the ashtray. |

Darn you, I never noticed mine's sagging until I saw this post & went & looked. Now I've got another item on my fixit list(sigh). |

Mine was sagging as well. I ended up fashioning a small metal bracket support out of a spare curtain rod hanging bracket and attached it to the metal brace that runs longitudinally just right of the shifter with a couple of sheet metal screws (pre-drill first to make it easier) -- all of this of course is underneath the sagging leather panel. The bracket was sort of an "I" shape if you looked at it from the side view. After getting a rough height dimension, I then kept reshaping the lower bends until it was the correct height, and finally screwed into place. This pushed the panel upwards and supports it as well. Why Ferrari didn't do this in the first place I'll never know. |

I was noticing that there is a slight 'sag' on my center console just above the shifter; below the clock/oil temp gauges. This has created a slight daylight gap between the horizontal console leather and vertical edge of the console. Poking around, I noticed that the entire assembly is blown fiberglass, so I guess the entire assembly is flexing? Is there anyway to correct this? I always look for this on other 308's and it seems to be pretty typical so I hope someone has found a fix. TIA |
