Nice to see some competition for the over-priced Tubi's.

Tino:

When you get around to it, would you be kind enough to email me the cost of a Tubi for the 360, and if you have them, the performance numbers? I think I'm going to put a pipe on it just for the sound, and if it works better, that's an additional gain. It's much too quite.

Tino, you're a sponsor here correct?

I'm not interested in a debate and I'm not trying to put Tubi down, Tubi found a niche and filled a void ..but life moves on, so I'm just reporting the new and timely facts I was given by ANSA's top guy here in the US...if you need further assistance or have gripes please call them.

Thanks, JRV

I had (briefly) an Ansa on my BB512 and it rotted out. David Feinberg (Fchat member) who restored his BB365 also removed a rotted out Ansa and replaced it with a Tubi. JRV, I would like to know where you got the information on F1 drivers using Ansa aftermarket mufflers on their street 360's. I can tell you what they use on their F1 cars but I would end up in a Fiat's trunk ! As to cat-equipped cars gaining HP with just a muffler upgrade, it's almost a joke, we've been doing these dynos for years and the best you can expect is 3-4%, ususally no more than 1-2% RWHP. Allanlambo, we only wish Tubi's were mass produced, we're more than 80x 360 Tubi's on backorder and the situation does not improve because each unit is painstakingly made by human hand; just the tips take two men a fulll day to make, they start out with a flat sheet of stainless steel and form the double walled tip, each with its own little muffler; no mass production at all, every component is hand polished !

My BB512i has an Ansa sport exhaust system and it sounds GREAT. As good as a Tubi for 1/3 the cost.

>>Anybody have the performance figures on the ANSA for a 360? <<

Art,

I talked to the US ANSA rep for over an hour on the phone about a month ago, his name is Steve I believe,(don't have my notes at home) and I believe he gave me some numbers, however I can't recall the exact numbers, I do remember they were impressive as compared to Stock & TUBI. Reason is, the way ANSA arrived at the numbers was far more interesting and important to me. According to the ANSA rep, ANSA combined with Ferrari did a "joint" Dyno/Track Development program to both increase power and create a wonderful sound while still maintaining the highest quality and a lighter unit in a package that is fairly priced. Quite a list of criteria.

I'll go thru my notes and/or call and talk with the ANSA rep again next week to refresh my memory and report back.

Also to further their real world feedback they installed the ANSA's on all the Ferrari's driven by the F1 and Factory Test Drivers for their evaluation and driving pleasure.

You can get Tubi for 2100.00 just about anywhere, even on Ebay. Tubi does sound good though, but it is mass produced and not tuned for ultimate power, but mass conformity.

ANSA is the best imo. Factory OEM Equipment....and their aftermarket exhausts are awesome and add HP...all the Ferrari F1 drivers have the ANSA aftermarket exhausts on their 360's.

I have the F-1 GTS 99'. The Tubi Exhaust and headers kick a$$.The sound is awesome. The prices at 2100.00 are unbeatable (retail is 3600.00)Driving thru tunnels is unbelievable.

I am a huge F-1 fan and have always wanted one I just ordered a F-1 Mazda track car so as I can take the aggression to the track. They to sound awesome.

Why bother w/anything other than the real deal
TUBI RULES IMO !!

Maybe not much gain in Tubi headers, but the headers i had made provided a huge improvement.

Tubi. But they don't sell them in Texas (joking). Industry standard. They also make manifolds, but unless you have a problem, very very expensive to install, very little gain.

Syd,
Check the archives, they a literally dozens of threads on exhausts for 355's.
Bottom line, the geat majority buy the Tubi Style brand.
