Mine (85 Mondial) never comes on either, even with my turbo. I'll bet you really have to push the limits to get it to turn on.

Seperate switch, I believe, and it is probably a higher temp than the h2o.

I am a new owner of a 84 Mondial, and am becoming concerned that the fan on the oil cooler is not functioning. The coolant fan on the radiator is working correctly turnig on at around 200 degrees coolant temp. I there a seperate thermal switch for the oil fan? If so at what oil temp should the fan start? If it is on the same switch as the coolant any ideas on what to look for?
