So true, Edward...I just noticed that the "freight charge" was around $50.00. |

The problem with using AGIP oil is not the price of the oil but the shipping costs are high due to the weight. I still buy it though. |

Greg...I purchased mine directly from AgipUSA (724-352-4451) -- they are located in Cabot, PA. The SINT 2000 GPX 10W-40 (1040S2000CL) comes in a case of twenty-four 1 liter bottles at a total price of around $105.00. The Antifreeze-Coolant Full Force (AFFC6) comes in a case of six 1 gal. containers at a total price of around $42.00. Should be enough oil and coolant to last me a while -- hope this helps. |

Just curious...is Agip an easy oil to find in the US? Where would you go to find it? |

I use Castrol Syntech 5w-50. Living in New England, I seldom see 90+ degree days, but 35-45 degree in the AM is common. More importantly, on warm days & long drives, my oil pressure behaves the same as it did with 10w-50 & even 10w-40. I've been plagued with oil leaks since I got the car. They don't seem to be noticably different with the 5w-50. Just my $0.02, |

Ken, I use Mobil 1 in my 308 without any problems... If you are having problems with with Mobil 1 leaking out, I would find a different mechanic. One that would fix the oil leaks rather than recomending an oil that is not as slick... |

Ken, the previous owner of my 308QV and myself have always used Mobile 1 Synthetic. I've rarely seen a spot on the garage floor. Plus, its available anywhere! |

ken i use only agip 10-40 for my t.r, and its great, a thinner oil for your 308, probably, my 2 cents |

What is the best oil to use for a 308 QV? I want to use Agip 5W-50 Eurosport synthetic since I have had excellent results with this oil in my Alfa Spider. Agip also makes a 10W-40 SYNT Synthetic, but I do not know how this differs from the Eurosport. My mechanic likes the idea of using a 15W-50 oil, but does not like to use Mobil 1 in the 308 since it tends to leak out more than the Agip. Finally, would using the Agip 10W-60 racing oil be a good choice for the 308 QV? |
