Collin You may want to go to Amazon and pick up Keith Bluemel's 'Original Ferrari V8'. There are excellent photos of interiors that should give you the options you may be seeking. I am having my 308 (Red body) seats recovered in a nice black leather with red trim (Where the brown trim is on your seats) and piping (about $1500 W/ the door panels). I am sure whatever color sceme you pick, you will like it and others will respect your choice. Best of luck (and post pics when you are done!) |

Colin, Some of the early 308's came with black carpets when equipped with a tan interior. Here is a picture of a glass GTB with black carpets and tan hides:
Lou, For your guage panel save yourself the work and get it annodized in a brushed silver finish like the original older 308's. I had mine re-done for $10 cash and it looks perfect. The plate you have now is annodized black so any annodizing shop can strip it and re-colour it to silver for you. Once you take your out, you will see that it is a lot of work to replicate another. |

I have a red 328 with original tan interior, I admit I much prefer the tan to black, I think it shows the detail much better. However even with original tan there are still some parts of the interior which remain black. I think the black carpets may not go together that well, mine has bordeaux color which I think looks very nice, but I also agree that it is your car and you have it as you like it !! |

As has been said many times, It's your car, do what you want with it. Just enjoy it! I think a change from black to tan is fine as they are both factory colors. Now, if you were thinking about blue velvet that would most definitly hurt the value of your car! My car has/had tan interior but I'm thinking real seriously about going to black when I replace it. Black seeems to add some elegance to the car. I also plan on fabricating a brushed s/s gauge panel and center consule panel which I think would look awesome against the black leather and black faced gauges. I see these changes as improving not necessarily modifing/customizing. To me the Ferrari is a personal thing where I can express myself and enjoy for myself. That's why I own it, and drive a Honda everyday! So I say go for it! As long as you're happy with it, that's all that matters! |

My 308 is red with black leather interior. I am considering changing my seat covers to freshen up. However, I have always liked the "tan" interior over the black. So here's my questions for your opinions: 1) Does it hurt the value of my car to any degree to go to a tan interior since that was not original? 2) If I switch to tan for the seats and door panels, is it an absolute that the console color and black carpeting must also be changed out? In other words, is it going to look screwy if the carpet and console remain black with the other items tan?? Thanks in advance for your thoughts!!
