Jeff: Langka is not designed to be used with "real/regular" paint like you'd spray on your car. It's designed to be used with touch up paint that normally comes in a small bottle. That's a different formulation (different solvent)... that's what helps Langka only work on the touch up glob and not mess up the cured "regular" paint when used according to the instructions.

MIke, The OE Glasurit I use takes about a month to fully dry hard, I found after waiting for up to a week using the cloth method with the Langka would still take the whole touch up paint off at times I found using the 2000 grit with the Langka actually blends the paint around the chip to the touch up making the repair invisible, using just the Lankga with the cloth I could still see a ring around the touched up area to the paint |

I just wait a little longer (overnight) for the touch up paint to dry before using the Langka on a cloth. Works fine that way for me. I wrap the cloth on a plastic spreader (or you can even use a business card) to keep it flat (per the instructions) so only the raised part of the blob comes off.

Paul, Yes, I fold the 2000 grit so I have a sharp corner and apply Langka to it so I can precisely sand the filled chip, when I used the cloth I found by the time I got the chip level the touchup paint was very soft and would totally come off at times, with the sand paper it sands the paint glob flush quicker with more control not making the touch up so soft as to remove it You need to be cautious with the sand paper as you can sand too much around the chip area and burn thru a layer of paint resulting in a halo around it |

Jeff do you apply the Langka product on the 2000 grit paper rather use a soft rag like they suggest? |

Find a pro auto paint supplier in your phone book that sells the brand your car was painted with PPG or Glasurit which my 328 has and have them mix you a pint The Glasurit Rosso Corsa code is 600, their are 4 shades of it buut unless you are a pro I couldn't tell the difference OE paint works much better, matches better and will sand flush so its invisible compared to the the runny crappy touch ups in the bottle which use the cheapest paints, the pint of Glasurit cost me $60.00 Langka works good but takes practice, I have found using 2000 grit sand paper with Langka folowed by 3m fine cut rubbing compound works well for me and makes chips invisible |

The best place is to take your car to a good paint and body man and have him/her mix you up a little to match your car exactly. A paint code will get you close, but not exact. |

You can get touch up paint to match your Ferrari at www.paintscratch.com The stuff from www.Langka.com works very well for getting rid of the blobs after touching up paint chips. Several of our local Ferrari guys use it (including me).

Wide World of Cars in NY will mix touch-up paint if you provide the paint code (which I think is typically found in the trunk). Their shipping is reasonable and very fast. |
