Mitchel, When I talked to Bill at G.T. Car Parts about 6 mos. ago he said they had the Ansa style tip which was the orig. style for your car. You can weld it on or drill them and tap threads in them and put set screws in them to hold on to the pipes. It is my understanding they were about $30 a piece. I would give them a call first. 1-623-780-2200 |

Magoo, did you say GT has some that were approximately $30? Or should I just jump on the Ansa tips and have them welded on? |

Mitchel, I talked to them at G.T. Car Parts and they said they were identical. Be sure to ask though. About $30.00 bucks apiece if I remember correctly. |

Also Mitchell, You can use a Dremel tool with the cutting disc and cut the three spot welds around the tip. The tip will then slide off the pipe and can be placed on your new system. Hope the exhaust pipe o.d. is the same. |

Mitchell, G.T. Parts has the exact orig. type tip same cut, for your car in stock. You can weld it on or drill holes in the tips and tap them for set screws to hold them on. G.T. Car parts 623-780-2200. |

I have a custom exhaust with two ANSA dual tips. These used to be real popular a few years back. I just bought the tips from the muffler shop who did the work. |

Get your tips directly from ANSA http://www.ansaautomotive.com. I've done this on many systems where I used Borla, Tubi, Stebro (or whatever) mufflers and pipes, cut the tips off, and then put ANSA tips in their place. That way you get the performance you want, and everything looks stock externally.

There is an exhaust specialist I visited who replicates all the ferrari and other exotic exhausts. They make their own tips that look very similar to Ansa . I'll find out if they will sell the tips seperately. |

Well, my mechanic and I are building a custom exhaust system for my 84 308 QV. We have just about everything ready to go, except the darn exhaust tips. I want to retain the outward stock appearance, as I really like the 4 pipes out the back. I do not want to hack up my stock system. SO where in the world can I find the tips off of a stock system?? I have called several places, and they only want to sell me a whole replacement system. Is there anyone that knows where I can get some stock tips, or exact replicas?? Anyone anyone?? Also, if anyone has a useless system with tips on it, I will purchase with a quickness! |
