Don't assume malice where simple foreign exchange rate changes can account for cost increases. The prices of a lot of parts hasn't changed in years, even tho the dollar was weakening against most European currencies. The importers and/or manufacturors were living with the lowered profit margins. Now that the Euro has appreciated phenominally against the dollar, the prices of many European goods are likely jumping to keep the mfgs from loosing their shirts. (Just an educated guess, not an informed opinion). |

I just bought a set last week from T Rutlands with a list price of $78 and my price of $59. I seem to recall that I paid about $50 2 years ago. |

Buy them from George Evans. He sells a complete kit for a valve adjust for $79 - both heads. Still expensive for paper, tho. |

Russ, Perhaps a bit off topic but the Ferrari spare parts politics seems to be quite easy at the moment: JUST DOUBLE THE PRICES AND SEE WHETHER SOMEONE NOTICES! We have noticed indeed! Con saluti cordialissimi, Jens Haller |

I know, I ended up making my own Goto an autostore and buy some gasket material, then goto walgreens and buy a single paper punch and razor blades. The paper punch is exactly the size you need for the holes, works perfectly, total cost is about 10$. Ben |

Folks, FNA confirms that 308 cam cover gasket pricing has just doubled. I just paid over $70 for a gasket! Ouch! This is unconscionable (did I spell that right?). We 308 owners are not rich mugs, on the whole. Anyone used silicone and if so, any feedback or tips? |
