Just keep an eye on it and make sure it does not get too bad. Also make sure the oil is not comming close to some hot areas such as manifolds or converters. |

The left side cam seal on my 348 is seaping oil. Not enough to affect the oil level or to leave a spot on my garage floor. But, you can notice it if you look at the frame rail below the cam seal boss. A major/engine out service was done in June 2000. The dealer said the engine would have to be removed to replace the cam seal to the tune of three grand plus. My question: Can I just let it be until the next major/engine out service in three years or so ? |
