Hey Mark, Ken, Daivid, Frank; Got the Tubi system installed. They sound great and I think I picked-up some power especially in second and third? If you need advise on how to install Tubis please contact me. Thanks for the help and Ideas. Jim Hilton |

Mark, Really appreciate the effort. Your email-"On a non-spider, the two newish looking galvinized bolts on your car are on the flange that should bolt to the "ears" of the Tubi (Got it!). Then the big bolt through the springs attaches with a bushing onto a pin on a bracket that's on the frame of the car (Yes I think these parts are here have the bushing, pin and bracket). Does that make any sense?" Yes this does. If you have a picture of your installed tubi would be great. Again, Thanks for the effort, Jim Hilton |

Its a little hard for me to see exactly whats going on with your old muffler, but I think that's where the "hacking" occured. Your Tubi looks just like mine, but the factory stuff looks like its been altered, maybe to fit a spider exhaust? If I can post a pic of mine, or the factory parts blowup, it will make sense to you. On a non-spider, the two newish looking galvinized bolts on your car are on the flange that should bolt to the "ears" of the Tubi. Mark, Here's a composit picture of my Tubi and two pictures of how the stock muffler is connected. Left image looks from lf outside and the other lf inside. The bracket that is circled comes off, rotates 90deg, gets bolted to the tubi ears. The bolt that hangs down through the spring gets connected to the frame along with the bracket. I think this is it? Trying to confirm before I start unbolting gear. Thanks in advance, Jim Hilton |

Jim, If yours was the one with the picture posted, it looked exactly like the one I just installed on my '90 348ts. At home, I have the Ferrari parts diagram for both the spider and the non-spider, and as I remember the mounting is different, but the same muffler should work on both. Your factory muffler should have two bolts running EW on both sides, that attach to a 90deg flange that has the long bolt with springs running through it. That bracket should come off the factory muffler and bolt right to the "ears" on either side of your Tubi. Post the picture again, along with a pic of your stock muffler and maybe we'll see what's missing. Mark |

Although there are major differences in the OEM mufflers, it is my understanding that the only difference between the Tubi Spider and Tubi tb/ts mufflers are the word "Spider" on the one for the Spider. |

Jim, you might want to consider keeping the 94 spider exhaust. I belive the exhaust used on late 348s (starting with the 93 special) is much better and adds about 10hp. Assuming the Tubi is a pain to reinstall. |

If it ends up being a major hassle, you may want to just Ebay it, and buy a new one. There are plenty of hot deals on Tubis these days. |

Hi Group, Yes it's me again the guy with the 348ts wanting to know about Tubi installation. Sorry to be such a pain, but here's the deal I bought my car with tubi exhaust, but the car was shipped to me w/o them. I got them, but now I learn that the muffler system I have is off a 348 '94 spider. I think I can still make this work? But can some one take a picture of their tubi install on a 348ts 89-91 and post it please so I can see if the hardware I have will work? Hey I know this really a pain, but may be I can return the favor one day. Thanks in advance. Jim (pain in the rear)Hilton |
