I apologize for "hijacking" this thread, but want to thank you for the replies. Your comments about the 575 and 360 have helped organize my thoughts, as I have pondered "sensuality" (and, yes, I agree, somewhat showy) v class. I think I'd love to have both something tossable and sexy (Stradale?) and something with 12 cylinders, a trunk (!) and comfort, as well as tremendous performance. I'm an amateur racer, and want to have a street car that gives me a whiff of the track, but also want a break every now and then from the hard suspension, loud engine, bare bones interior and complete impracticality. I find it interesting Dr. Weiner that you list the Vanquish, a car my wife and I also would love to own, as a "wanted" car - a beautiful and classic marriage of muscle and luxury. I wish we had a dealership in our area. |

I have always loved Ferrari automobiles however I never fit in one until I sat in a 550 Maranello. I am over 6 feet 2 inches tall. Then I test drove it. On rough roads it was smooth and more important it was quiet and no interior parts vibrated. The car is rock solid inside. The A/C keeps you cool. When the windows are down the air circulation is just right, not buffeting or harmonics, just a gentle breeze. All the instruments are at easy reach. On the performance standpoint, look out. There is more power there than most people can handle. This is a true race car, not a show off car as a 360 may be. My Pozzi deep blue 550 got just as many looks or more than a red 360. My car had a relatively large trunk, bigger than any other true sports car I have seen. You may get a large golf bag in there and more. How about a real spare tire as well. One of the most important things for me was just how easy that car was to work on. It was no harder than a typical Toyota. Stuff was easy to get to and there was a lot of working space. It is one of the easiest cars to work on today. The average mechanic should be able to change the engine and transmission oil and the accessory fan belts in an hours. You can change the battery and antifreeze completely in about an hour. So many other things are just that easy to get to. I was so happy that I bought the 575. aehaas |

Just traded in a 360 I had for 3 yrs for a 575.Had the 360 for almost 3 yrs-great car- quick,very tossable and sexy as hell.The 575 has a different feel-smoother,tremendous torque,blindingly fast and I love the F1.(canbe gotten in either the 360 or 575 but not the 550). The 575 reeks of class-the 360 reeks of sensuality- |

Gentlemen - Am looking at a 575. My wife and I have arranged to test drive a 550 to try to better understand the 12cyl front engine experience. We love the 360 styling. I know all this is subjective, but why have you chosen the 575? Thanks, Will |

Peter, From 2.41 of the manual To set-ig key must be in ii position. Press the key next to the hood release for between 4 and 10 seconds. The ideogram "Y" will appear on display. The system takes up to 20 minutes with the vehicle in motion to complete the setting procedure. If the diff in pressure between the wheels on any one axle exceeds 0.4 bar the procedure will not be carried out. If during the setting procedure the system detects a loss in pressure the idogram "- -" will be displayed. Hope you enjoy the car . |

I purchased my car from a collector. It had 111 miles on it. He drove it once and kept it in a warehouse. I think he disconnected the power so the calibration info must have been lost. Could you check your manual and let me know how to use the cal button next to the hood opener? Thanks. |

Not sure why you have to "calibrate" the system.Just press the left one of the two buttons which is just below the driver window switch and it will change the "time" read out to "temp"-hit again and it will read out the tire pressure in one wheel keep hitting it 3 more times for the pressure in the other wheels.Mine is an '03 but must be the same as yours. |

I just received my 2002 575M but don't have the books yet. They will arrive on Tuesday. How do you calibrate the tire pressure monitoring system? I have located the button near the hood release but haven't yet figured out how to get it to calibrate. Thanks |
