Robert... a dying water pump can make a metallic "tinkling" sound on start up. It can drive you crazy trying to figure it. Not a major repair, rebuild kits are about $150. Btw, I'm just off Okeechobee Blvd in Loxahatchee Groves (redneck [also horse] country). Wanna do some burgers and suds? lol

I am in Greenacres. I travel mostly though. I work on a yacht that's based in Palm Beach. That is why my car will sit this summer. In September, I will bring it into the shop. I have a bearing noise at start up but goes away after the car warms up. I am afraid it might be the water pump but the car runs in the normal heat perameters. Tim Stanford heard the noise and changed my belts. That wasn't it. I can live with it for now because I'm leaving in a couple of weeks. So I will bring it in for oil service and maybe use servizio.

Jeff:
Luciano Sanzogni in Sarasota can do the work if you want to stay on this coast. I just watched them perform a 15K on a 512TR and the results were impressive. The dealers send him the cars they can't get right. His first love is ferrari but he works on all euro marques. (941) 756-4874

Jeff, glad we could assit. Good choice. I usually visit the Servizio shop once per week. Let me know if you come down here. They probably told you that they can most likely arrange to even drop off your car over a weekend.

If Tim is backed up or such, we will be happy to take care of your belts at Servizio in Jupiter.

By the way, we also think that Tim is a fine person and a good mechanic.

PS... By now, Timmy might appreciate a few months' supply of Viagra and Centrum Silver... and a set of casters for his walker, instead of a check - ask... :-) But he'll still know how to turn that wrench!!

PPS... that diner Robert mentioned is Lester's. It's been there forever, and a great place to hang out while Timmy's doing those belts.

Regards,
Andy

Thanks.. I will call him. I might do all of the fluids myself but want a Ferrari pro to do the belts. I have done Lotus and Maserati rebuilds from the ground up but want to trust this to an expert.

I'll second Robert's vote... Timmy's excellent!! An ex-Shelton man, btw.

287 s.w. 33 st behind the diner.
954-764-7824. Very honest and does the job right. I have seen a few mondi's from time to time there.
