Allan, I had one hiccup on the way home from Scottsdale after a fillup. It seems to be getting worse, it's not consistent but then again fairly regular. Which leads me to believe that something is starting to be out of tolerance or failing. Cold start-no prob Hot start-problem and sometimes annoying I don't like cranking on it so much. It's just not right. |

Vincent, did this just start? I never had a problem with hot starting. |

JRV, I am not too familiar with fuel injection. Isn't there an accumulator which keeps the pressure up in mechanically fuel injected cars. I know the 348 is electronic fuel injection, so maybe it is called something different. I am having a problem at hot startups. Perhaps I don't have enough fuel pressure for hot temp starts? How does the electronic fuel injection control the amount of fuel vs. eng. temp.? I am not sure. This specific question started from this thread: http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/112/252357.html?1053915230 Thanks, BTW I have this low sounding rattle at around 3k rpm. Sometimes, not all the times. And I would like to know more about flywheel grease.

Vince, what accumulator on a 348? are you sure you're not thinking about earlier Fcars with CIS Injection? |

My 348 has a hot start problem. It has a tough time starting after engine temp. has come up. reading through a fuel injection manual on the web it seems that I may have an accumulator problem. The car will start it just takes a couple of times cranking it to get it to fire. the starter motor does turn it over. I have no cold start problems whatsoever. The 2.7 is present in a few cars fcars anybody know how I can check the accumulator or it's part no.? This seems to be a relatively common Bosh part.
