Check the welded joint on the rear clutch lever...I've seen them crack, allowing the fork shaft to twist. Don't pull the seat, just wad yourself into an upside down ball and scrunch under there...;-) |

The throttle didn't stick. I think the clutch going out was just a coincidental occurrence, which happened during my aggressive drive. I just checked on the car. It starts, and revs OK. The hydraulic clutch lines are OK, as is the fluid level. I assume the problem is that one of the connectors on the pedal bracket came loose, beneath the dash........Oh, how I hate working under the dash!!!!!!! It seems that I will have to remove some "fuzzy" small panels....probably the seat, also, in order to have the room to work, on my back......ouch!!!!! |

While aggressively driving my 83 Boxer, yesterday, I went to the red line, only to have the engine quit, and then go back on when the revs fell......obviously this was due to a rev limiter. Then I had no clutch, but, this is a different problem. Do Boxers have a standard limiter, or was this installed by someone? The ignition module looks stock. |
