I'm not sure, Pascal. I've seen an early 348 brochure with the older style key fob attached to the key in the starter switch. Barry |

Would someone happen to know when the switch from old to new style was made? |

Christopher, The older style key fob was made by A.E. Lorioli - Milano, stamped on the reverse. The newer one by Coinart - Firenze. Barry |

I BOUGHT A NEW KEY RING AT FERRARI OF SAN FRAN FOR 29.00 + TAX, JUST A FEW MONTHS AGO. BUT LET ME TELL YOU THAT I ALSO HAD MY KEYS STOLEN TWICE WHEN I HAD MY 78 308 15 YEARS AGO WHILE USING THIS KEY RING. I GUESS YOU CAN CALL IT A REAL COLLECTBLE ITEM ??? |

Christopher, Besides the difference in the shape of the loop, the cavallino is a bit different too. One possible source for the older style key fob, correct for your car, is Ken at: http://www.ferrariliterature.com Barry

Daniel, Thank you very much for the feedback! You're right there is a slight difference in the "loop". I'll be shopping e-bay! Thanks, Chris. |

Barry has pictured the one that is also appropriate for my 88 328, so its probably right for your 79 too. The loop is more of a triangular shape than what you can get now. I got mine on ebay from someone who owned a 89 328. They are hard to get but be on the lookout. I paid $102 for mine (yikes) but there is nothing loke having the original! |

I'm trying to bring my 79 308GTB to O.E.condition (baring a few items not avail.),and was inquiring as to if anyone may know what the O.E. Key Ring/Fob may have looked like, back in it's day for this vehicle? Thanks, Chris. |
