I noticed today that it was not that bad. Pressure? I have a relief hose but..you never know. It's going to Ferrari to be checked out later. I'll let you know what I find out. I hope there are no more nuts in my belt;) (thanks JRV for that joke ) |

If it's an alignment prob, and not the bushing, be forwarned that the adjustment is fairly subtle. I was adjusting the fore-aft motion, and found it was real easy to screw up the side-to-side motion. I had to tweak it a couple of times to get satisfied with the feel into all gears. |

>>There is adjustment available and it is not slipping.<< agree that a clutch can make them hard to shift...try a little tighter (not to tight) on the adjustment to let the disk disengage a little better. |

This is a little off topic but I changed my trans fluid to RedLine synthetic. I now have absolutely no problem with the old cold 2nd gear thing. I mean none at all, it goes right in when it's cold as a dead body. Problem now is I have a hard time getting it into 1st even when it is warmed up good. Any ideas? |

I do not think it is the clutch. There is adjustment available and it is not slipping.

If the clutch itself becomes very worn and ready for replacement (no adjustment left), the difference in geometry can make getting it into gear very difficult, with all the "bad feel" seeming to be at the shift lever as you have to push hard to get into gear. I thought I had a shifting fork problem, but we couldn't get it adjusted. When we replaced the clutch (and the disc was quite worn) the problem went away. |

>>I had it changed in Sept of last year. Would it go out that fast? << Depends on if they really changed it or just tightened the outa the bolt, or maybe the rod itself shifted? The bushings are very firm...crawl under and inspect while someone moves the shift handle to the extreme gears, if you see deflection it's bad, no deflection it's good..

A very common occurance that makes 308's hard to shift into reverse and 4th-5th is the deteroration ot the shift rod coupler bushing. The small metalastic bushing in the end of the shift rod itself, where it attaches to the front rod yoke. |

Sat it shifted fine. Sun drove the snot out of it. Today difficult (not hard) time shifting into 4 and fifth. Fells like it's misaligned. Am I right? |
