Don't touch the speedo until you check the sending unit near the right rear wheel. This is almost always the problem and you can R&R it in your driveway in no time. All you need is a jack and a big wrench. Took me about 20 min 5 years ago to fix the same problem with my car. |

Wouldn't you know it - it's been raining here in Houston for the last couple of weeks and today was the first nice day to get out and drive, so I drove to work in my '78 308 GTB. About 1/3 into my commute my speedo went dead. I was at a red light and when I accelerated I got nothing. I checked the few DIY websites but found nothing on fixing the speedo. Can anyone guide me on checking the connections at either end? Thanks, James |
