Well I guess it is expensive if you don't do it you self. Gt car parts has the adapter to put on my cam to fit the QV rotors. You have to take the cam out. Punch out the pin holding the adpater. then punch out the adapter and put on the new QV adapter. You do have to put a rod in the caam to punch out the old adapter. Put the pin back in and install the cam. For $150..,(includes two adpaters and two rotors) I think it is the thing to do,of course I'm doing all this my self. Kelly |

Also, you could check with Nick Scianna at WWW.NICKSFORZAFERRARI.COM , He sells the direct fire ignition upgrade. I had Autosport Designs throw in the direct fire ignition system made by Electromotive, in my '82 GTSi. It does make a very noticeable difference in the drive ability of the car. |

Kelly, someone in our local club converted his GTSi to take the QV rotors. My understanding was it was quite expensive as he had to have the cams modified to accept them..... |

I have a set of used but good condition 80-82 rotors that I bought from someone else for $50. You can have them for $50 plus shipping. I no longer need them cause they don;t fit my car. [email protected] |

Nope, the 80 thru 82 cars had thier own type of rotor, totally different from any other 308.

NLA. Direct fire probably best (only) way to go, when you add up prices of 2 rotors and 2 caps you almost break even with the upgrade. That will be my next big expense (unless I donate car to Goodwill for the tax write-off!) '82 GTSi |

I hear they are very hard to find. Check with our sponsors first and see if they might be able to help you. |

Well the water pump went out on Monday, so i'm taking the car apart to change the timing belts too and notice the front ignition rotor is about half of what it should be. Any ideas on where to get one. I have a friend who has a carbed car that will give me his, but I have been told it will not work. Is direct fire in my future???? Thanks Kelly |
