Dave, Go0d idea. I try and start the thread titles with car type, and then include either the problem or part involved. That way it comes up easy on the searches. |

Guys, there is a section for this - parts and service - see above. You need to document the issue and fix with pics (if poss) and submit to Rob |

Dave, I think that is a very good idea, maybe a tech tips type thing? I would be interested in "slow down" (just in case it ever happens to me), "cam belt change interval" out of interest and also "slow window operation" as mine seem a little slow but not as bad as some cars I viewed before I bought mine. Rob, be great if we could somehow segregate a list of more common issue threads grouped like this one, they often crop up as new owners encounter them. Often we forget the solution till the problem comes our way then we have to ask the forum again. I guess they would need to be split to model specific listings I would imagine it would be far too much work to retro but maybe start a fresh today on? e.g. 348 - Slow down 1-4/5-8 - Poor hot start with dual mass flywheel - A/C plant dead - cam belt change interval - clutch change - alternator related - slow window operation |

Thanks Tom, I'll give that a try. So I take it a bad sensor will send the wrong kind of signal to the ECU and make the motor run crappy? There are no cats, the sensors are screwed into an open pipe. I suppose that doesn't matter. Sweet looking 308 you have there by the way... |

Probbably a bad thermo sensor in the cat. You can try to unplug the 2 wire connector at the exhaust E.C.U, and then go for a drive and see if that fixes your problem. |

Greetings Ferrari Friends, I've searched for a bit, but couldn't find an an answer for my situation. I went for a spin this lovely evening, and out of nowhere the engine lost power, the engine/exhaust note became muted, and the slow down 1-4 light came on. The car has no cats, and brand new ECU's about 2000 miles ago. When I pushed the clutch in, the motor died. I lit it back up, and it was fine, she blasted right off. Then the problem happened again intermittently until I got her home. Light would come on, then the motor sounded like a big wet blanket was thrown over it. Any suggestions? Many thanks! Scotty |
