Andrew -- Like Peter R. said, I think you've only got three options for an air filter (unless you can match something up on your own like Peter B. suggested) -- stock, K&N, or TSI (but I'm not sure that TSI covers any of the "older" models like yours). Unless (as I think Herb first noted) you're driving on a dirt track, just get a reusable K&N -- it's about the same price as the (overpriced IMHO) stock paper filter. See: http://www.ferrariclub.com/faq/knfilter.html for everything you need to know. |

I am still having no luck with the air filter part number. Someone out there must have replaced the air filter with one from a local parts store. I have called every single auto parts store in the phone book. None carry a listing for the ferrari air filter. Thanks |

Andy, I bought 3 Baldwins last week at a local truck supply store for $8.50 each for my 328. It seems that everybody here thinks they're the best. Don't waste time, just find the Baldwin B253. |

HP1, although the same size, will not work as it has no stand-pipe, so when you start your engine, it'll turn over dry. Fram's Ferrari oil filter is PH-2804-1, but these don't stand up well to the heat from the engine (stand-pipes collapse and anti-drain-back valves are weak). Still, the best choice is Baldwin B253. Look up in the "Keyword Search" function of this site to find out where to get Baldwin's (usually truck shops). I looked through probably the same reference books and all that I found is the PH-2804-1 oil filter and the fuel filter for a 328 (P/N: ? ). Nothing listed for air filters. K&N and Tubi/TSI make an assortment of air filters |

Hi, Does anyone know the fram (or any other brand) air filter number for the 1985 Ferrari 308 QV. I spent about a hour looking through different cross-referance books in two different parts stores. The search turned up nothing. The catalog did list a Fram Raceing oil filter part number HP1. Does anyone know if this is correct? Has anyone tried these filters. Thanks for your time. Andy in NJ |
