I took the dash out of my Boxer (365) when I restored it back in 1990. I don't remember any specific tricks to it.

Start by taking out the seats, lying down inside and tagging and disconnecting wires. No black magic, just a helluva lotta work. You will most likely have to remove the steering wheel to get the dash out of the car. I had the windshield out so removal from the car was not an issue.

Good Luck

Ken,

I can't help you out but I have the same problem. I have a 79 512BB with some mild dash pull on the passengers side next to the windshield. Not enough to make me want to do anything yet. It doesn't look that difficult just very time consuming; good winter project. Hopefully someone who has done this before will respond and give us some hints.

I had my old TR dash repaired at a local uphostery shop. Just be sure he uses connely leather and dye.

I need to fix the dash on my boxer...the leather has pulled away as it typically does. I'm not sure where to even start. Any suggestions?
