there is a great article in this issue in this months issue of the FML, our sponsor. The article points out the ferrari dealer fix is liable to fail again. Performance Motorcars of North Carolina has designed a better fix and warranties it for three years. 336-241-3451. BTW, no relation etc etc. also if you don't subscribe to FML, do so now it helps Rob and also helps the board |

Yea I heard that the part costs $225 but when I called a LA dealer he said I need the entire track with it - $1,000. The other LA Dealer quoted $380. How much was yours? |

I had the potentiometer replaced on mine a couple weeks ago, and they had only two left in stock, and after they are gone you have to buy the whole seat track. If the dealer in your area doesn't have one, try calling some other dealers. Algar worked on my. |

When my pot was ng, at acted as yours. try unpluging it, If the seat then moves both ways it is the pot. |

Thanks for the info - would the seat still work to go forward? It's all the way forward now but "clicks" when I try to move it forward. When I try to move it back it's slient - nada. |

Potentiometer under the seat is probably no good. mine did the same thing. Under the front of the seat is a plug, unplug it, if the seat works now it is the pot. Seats are controled by a ecu. If the pot is ng, the ecu thinks the seat is back all the way, and will not let the motor go further back. Only prob with unpluging is the top may not go down. |

This isn't funny....... Ok, my dream car finally shows up last night and the delivery guy carefully backs it off the truck, we do the paperwork, shake hands and I'm ready for my LONG awaited ride.....when I try to move the seat back - it won't! It moves forward fine but no going back. Now the seat is stuck all the way forward and I CAN'T EVEN DRIVE IT! I tried switching with the passenger switch - but no difference so I don't think it's the switch. Top doesn't operate either as I think they're related. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks |
