Vinyl, not leather. You can buy the whole console area fron T Rutlands fairly cheap. Most dealers did not install radios. But, the majority I saw in the 80's were Blaupunkt (Blue Point). Alpines came in Lambos from about 1984. My 328 has no radio either. Kinda' pointless. Some Ferrari's did have radio options (Boxer and Daytona to name the one's I know). I'm wanting to say, but not sure, that the one that came in the Boxer with equalizer & all was a Pioneer. |

I've seen them pop up on rare occasions on eBay. One just sold on eBay last week for the 308. |

Where can you find the fill panel? I remember eMailing a source from a past thread, but never got a response. |

Cheers for the info guys. I eventually phoned Ferrari UK yesterday and they told me that the cars were sold without a radio, just a leather patch across where the radio fitted. My current head unit is Alpine but does appear to be a model from around 1988. I must admit I never use it as the CD is broken and the sound from behind is far more interesting to listen too. |

Hi Mr. Randle, I have been told most of the dealer-fitted radios were Pioneer or Alpine brands (if this helps). Carl |

answer is: NONE. In the U.S., the default was pre-wired speakers, but no radio unit, just the blank spot in the dash with a fill-in matching panel. I was somewhat surprised at this, figured F was getting just a bit cheap here, but nothing I could do about it. In reality, most dealer's put something in the cars, have not run across any others besides mine that are sans radio... Never got around to adding a stereo, cuz, you know, when fired up, the music's behind you |

Does anyone know what make and model the orginal Radio was in a 328 ? I have an Alpine unit fitted with a CD head cassette which is missing. Didn't know whether to buy a new unit or try and get a CD head cassette from Ebay or something ? |
