Yep, on my 1998 the passanger side kicks on with increasing water temp. The driver's side kicks on when the a/c is on. |

Looking in the direction that the car moves forward: my A/C is on the left (drivers side), while the right side has the oil cooler (passenger side). my shop manual covering 95, 96-97 and 98-99 shows all F355s are the same in these placements. |

Mark - That's just it...cooling temp switch kick on right fan instead, and A/C is now on left. BTW the right fan on my year is A/C. Always goes on when you turn on A/C and I have verified according to my owners manual and parts book... I'll take her in for service...I'm doing a major cross country run and what the car given a good look over before I leave anyway. Matt - JRV... any thoughts? |

Left fan is controlled by the coolant temp switch and ac high pressure switch in parallel. It will not necessarily come on by turning on the ac, unless pressure is too high. Right is controlled by ecu, based on coolant temp & oil temp. |

May not be a biggy, but what do you think? I blew the temp switch on my left fan a few weeks ago and the dealer (Shelton) replaced it. The main cooling fan (left) is now the right fan. When you turn on A/C the right fan should blow, now the left fan blows instead. Temps are fine and she stays at 190. I'm thinking when the service tech was trouble shooting he pulled the good one and stuck it in the dead fan to determine if the problem was the switch and somehow forgot to place them back in original order. Hate to go back for service for something so minor. Again, the fans work fine, only the order is reversed - right is left and left is right. Does anyone see any harm in this. I was going to wait to have it fixed next time I needed scheduled service. Thanks
