most people just throw the old rotors away--but if anyone has one it will be Ted Rutland in Tucker GA--has has about 10 parts cars there.

Gianluca, there is a guy on ebay called maseratisource that is selling the rebuild kits for the calipers. His prices are reasonable.

How stupid of me...Just another senior moment.
I am looking for a rear brake rotor disk. The one I am trying to replace is completely destroyed.

Any good sources for the seals of the calipers(including the small ones in the "ported spacers" ?

I would like to service my calipers and I am not able to get the pistons out. Tried shop air but they are stuck (at least on the caliper that messed the rotor (brake rotor, that is...) up.
They seems to be already re-sleaved with SS pistons. This weekend I will try to "hardwire" the caliper to an 3" diameter pneumatic cylinder and try with shop air again. I should increase pressure about 7 times and that may pop them out. I will put a towel in between the pistons.
Any comments or suggestions on the above procedure?

Thanks,

Gianluca

All 308's have the same brake discs (rotors), whether carb, injected or QV. 328's are different than any of the 308's.

If it is like on a 328 it should be an ATE rotor which you can buy at Brake-O

That's why we call brake rotors discs here in the Motherland !! :-)

Welcome Gianluca - be sure to register with www.owners.ferrari.com the owners-only website. From there you can buy online all the parts you need for your 308 !

Cheers.

Welcome Gianluca, Just make sure that the old ones you get are still within spec. or else you just bought a big paper weight. If it doesn't have enough "meat" on it, you'll have trouble with the parking brake. $50 is reasonable. Also try Trutlands 1-800-233-7820, they deal in used Ferrari parts and are located in Georgia

Hi,
Would like to introduce myself. Name is Gianluca and I just got an '81 308 gtsi.
I have been "lurking" here for a while and I absolutely find this chat a God's send for F. owners.
I live in Virginia near Dulles Airport (in case some members are in the same area)

I need a rear rotor for my 308. Anybody has a used but useable one for sale? I have searched the archives and is seems several people are going to upgrade to other systems and may be willing to part with one.

Thanks,
Gianluca
