JRV, My car is a US spec. car. Sold originally by Authorized Ferrari Dealer in Az. I checked the history. It has a US serial # and a Ca. emissions tag. It may be a year-to-year difference or something equally baffling. I plan to do the 2 fan upgrade since it will be without pain and probably prudent. Mike |

I believe it was the Imported Gray Market Euro Spec cars that had only one fan. Don't know what the original destination market was, but guess they figured they would only need one. In most areas of the US in summer two fans are a good idea. |

David, My 85 Mondial 3.2QV Cab has only 1 fan. It does have a set of wires, and an empty relay hole on the fuse panel for a second fan, but no mounting provisions on the radiator. My owner's manual shows only 1 fan. In my case it would be no big deal to add a second fan if needed, but I would do what others on this chat have done and go get two matching high flow aftermarket fans. Interestingly enough my car came from southern Fl. and when I got it the previous owner had jumpered around the thermal switch so the fan ran all of the time. I haven't had it through a southern Ohio summer yet so I can't say for sure if the single fan is a problem. |

An out-of-town seller has sent me pictures of an 83 Mondial Coupe. However, I see only 1 radiator fan on the driver's side, no 2nd fan on the passenger side and no visible provision for one. Is this correct? I have been looking primarily at 3.2 cars, which all have two fans. Did the earlier cars have only one fan, and is that enough, especially to run the a/c in So. Cal.? I understand that the QVs were more prone to overheating issues. Everything else appears kosher, but I am waiting for the seller to send copies of what he claims are all service records and history before taking the next step. |
