Thank's Jeff, that is a good idea, the rim's will be shipped in 3 to 4 week's (made to order) I can hold off and bolt them up first! I had a rub problem on my 911 (front's) do not want that again!!...Robert |

Robert, I think you are right on target with the 295s for the rear. I've seen other TRs with 18" wheels and it seems that this is the larget tire that will fit comfortably. Have you trial-fitted the wheels to the car? If you can, do so and actaully measure the space between the back of the rim and the wheel well. This will give you an idea of how much protrusion the tire can go beyond the rim before making contact to the wheel well panel. I hope others speak out on this topic, but 295s are the largest tires I've seen on a TR so far. |

Hello, I am putting 18x10 1/2 back, 18x8 1/2 front, HRE rim's on my 88 Testarossa, I want to put at least 295/35 rear...what is the largest tire I can go without rubbing?? Thank's..Robert |
