I bought a pair of struts for my 308 bonnet from Auto Zone a couple of years ago. About $15 each. They're about 1" shorter than the originals tho.
Stronger than original, unlatch the bonnet & it hops up about 8". Work fine until you need to get at the front bank sparkplugs. Don't have the part #.

I don't know what FNA wants for these, but they are generic items. I used Meyle pn 340-161-0065 on my Mondial (one size fits all 5 locations) at $22 per piece from www.discountimportparts.com in Portland OR. They are meant for BMW hoods. (I can live with German quality...)

However, I did have to remove the clips on either end and also the hood struts went in upside down to avoid having to grind the brackets on the hood, they interfere with the cylinders as the flanges on these struts are a hair shorter.

Anyone got a better deal, or an equivalent for the long ones that go on the 308s?

Any other input on these?
