The 328 will drive better all around, due to the extra capacity, ergonomics are slightly better, but the heater controls have been troublesome. The styling difference are non existant to Joe Public, they still see a Ferrari. As with anything, the important things are the pre purchase inspection, records and price. Nothing wrong with a good 308QV though. Especially if I get a new customer! |

You should order the back issues of Forza magizine with the buyers guide for the 308 and 328. |

Thanks to everyone so far for the friendly comments, has anyone driven both? any noticeable differences? and how about injected versus FI cars, on paper there is a power reduction is this noticeable? and do the QV models get back to about the same as the carb models?
FI would seem to have edge on reliability and keeping tune to me but does it work out that way? .

I feel exactly like Greg. And to me the 308 was THE ferrari when I got into them. But there are benefits of each. It's all down to which you like as had been said. |

Paul, between the two, it really comes down to personal taste. I picked a 308QV because I like the pointed nose rather than the blunt nose. I also liked the classic chrome lever-type switches in the center console of the 308 (in lieu of the back rocker switches on the 328). To me, the lines on the 308 seemed to have a better "flow" than the 328...but I'll also say that I did look at a few 328s and was mighty tempted.

As Barry says they all run on unleaded gas. There are pros and cons about both styles even though they are very similar. Another difference is if you like carb. cars or FI cars. These things are personal likes or dislikes. I can't tell you which you would like better. BRGDS, |

I agree with Verell and only wanted to add that unleaded gas is fine with all 308s and 328s. |

$0.05 SUMMARY:
It comes down to:
Personal esthetic opinion and:
328: More power, newer interior, about $10K avg higher price. Some have ABS.
308: QV slightly less power, GTxi noticably less, less electronics in the interior to go wrong. Lower $$. Some have TRX wheels.
In any case, DO NOT SKIP THE PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTION.

I am seriously thinking of buying a used Ferarri, which is a car I have always dreamed of owning, I have a limited budget. I can afford a 308 or possibly a 328 and am leaning towards the 328 which I think has a slightly more pleasing shape at the front. Can anyone give me advice to help me decide please?
Also are all 308 and 328 models able to run on unleaded fuel ??
