As willis said, I pretty much leave it in sport mode except if on really rough roads. I also usually have ASR off unless the roads are wet or have leaves on them.

According to the manual "Sport Mode stiffens the suspension and provides faster gear-shifting. Gear shifting will be faster with the accelerator pedal pressed all the way down and over 7000 rpm."

to my knowledge, the sport mode only kicks in after 5,000 rpm's. can anyone confirm this?

I suggest taking your car to some twisty backroads. You must have a lot of those in Colorado, right? :-) Put the car in sport mode and enjoy the incredible handling. It would be a shame to use it for just cruising and urban driving.

If the pavement is rough, put it back in normal mode for comfort. For city driving, which I don't do a lot, I usually put it back to normal mode. Even on sections of rough highway, I'd switch to normal (saves your lower back). No repercussions that I know of if you don't abuse the system and drive smoothly.

The one I drove Saturday, I was shown it only to make the difference on the shift pattern and suspension stiffness. When in normal mode you can allow the car to upshift by itself from gear to gear by hitting redline. In sport mode you must do the upshift manually or you will bounce off the rev limiter.

Thanks for the drive Mark!

Please advise on criteria for engaging sport mode on 360 Modena. What are repercussions, if any? Car is used as a highway cruiser and city driver. Might get tracked once or twice a year.
