I just wanted to add that it's an 8-point (not hex) nut... |

FYI, Socket size is 75 MM. Although the set that ferrarijoe has is the proper way to go. Best regards, Jim |

Lou, The setup below is what I put together and it gives me serious peace of mind knowing that the knock-off is tightened accurately. The factory socket, part# AV-1522, I bought from TRutlands for $320. I use a Snap-On Torgue-O-Matic torque wrench that tightens in either direction to 350 foot pounds, I got on eBay for $50. As you can see, it all tucks up nicely in the trunk. Joe

Luigi, You should be able to get that size from a tool store that sells truck tools along with a big breaker bar. I will measure my socket at the shop and post tomorrow. Best regards, Jim |

Luigi....you can either make the wrench-which requires the lead hammer, or you can buy the socket from....I think Stainless Steel Brakes company, and use a big torque wrench. I made my own socket and use a huge breaker bar, as my car was missing the factory tools also. But I have now aquired the factory jack kit, and prefere the factory wrench and hammer method. It is much more convenient to tighten the bolts up. I don't have a pic of the factory tools, but I'm sure someone will comply with your request. Lastly, there is a lot of info. in the archives on this subject. |

I'm doing the brakes on my 87 TR because there starting to squeeeeek at every stop. I don't have the wrench to remove the single nut from my wheels. Can someone please post a picture of what this thing looks like so I can make one. Also do you have any advise for me when I'm changing my brakes, is there anything I should know before I start. Thanks. |
