I have to bleed my system a couple of times/year. I had a major service performed (and botched) by Scottsdale Ferrari. What they failed to do during the majo (but charged me for was servicing the water pump (cleaning, resealing, and checking changing the bearing)...the H20 pump failed...trashing the engine. SF refused to take responsibility and hiit me for an additional $8K...making the major cost me a whopping $13K.

I have since gotten the mechanic who did the major to state that he didn't service the pump....Montezemola and Parlatto are not amused. Stay away from Scottsdale Ferrari.

Sorry for the rant....but you probably need to check all your hoses, etc. Ciao...Dino

I will respectfully disagree with JRV. "...at least 3 times a year"????? I had my 88 TR for 5 years.....never lost one drop of coolant, nor added one drop. It stays cool in over 95 degree days, even with the A/C on. This is also true in every Ferrari car I owned.

If the system needs bleeding, then there MUST be leak!!!!!

We seem to be getting to a point where "mediocre" systems in Ferraris are acceptable.....part of their charm? I, for one, do not believe this.

When was the last time you bled the cooling system?

Should be done at least 3 times a year.

I agree with Bruce...check sensors. When someone says "hot" it is a subjective term. How hot does it get? Does coolant come out of the overflow hose? Make sure ALL of the fans are working for the radiators. Some people confuse the oil cooler as a radiator for the motor, I guess it is kinda. My '87 would get too hot, and it turned out to be bad connections at the temp switch on the driver's side radiator. Keep us posted on what you find. Good Luck.

HAD THE SAME PROBLEM..EITHER CHECK THE HEAT SENSORS GOING BACK TO THE TEMP GAUGE(MOLEX CONNECTOR PINS WAS BROKEN)(IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT) OR IN MY CASE, ONE OF THE 4 FANS WERE NOT WORKING...SIMPLE FIX..
