Then definitely check/verify if the throttle microswitch is functioning properly or not IMO...

Another problem that can cause your TR's symptom is described here (if it's a US KE-Jetronic with lambda):
http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/112/257830.html
The O2 sensor locations are shown in the OM (on the inlet sides of the catalytic converters) -- Tom's "checking" reference involves measuring the voltage (relative to ground) of the single output wire coming from the O2 sensor (while it's still plugged in) to the injection ECU.
Are you saying that:

1. at 3000 RPM and lift off the throttle quickly/completely = it will drop to ~500 RPM and sometimes stall or sometimes stagger back up to ~1000 RPM, but

2. at 3000 RPM if you (manually) gradually lower the RPM it seems to stop properly at ~1000 RPM (i.e., without undershoot)?

I just had the car serviced (fixed) and both sides where balanced...how would I check the o2 sensor? and where is the o2 sensor?

Throttle mixture/idle adjustment, requires a gas analyser to get the proper settings (make sure car is HOT when you do this). I had this problem show up right after my major was a fun drive back down to have it adjusted.

I would start with fuel pressures. I have found that if the engine is not balanced correctly meaning the same amount of fuel and air being metered by both fuel distributors, and airflow meters then this problem will occur. It could be as simple as an O2 senser "stuck" on rich and driving one bank out of wack. An easy way to check the balance of the engine is to connect vacuum gauges to the intake plenums and compare the readings. If there not close then you know you have a problem with one side or the other. It could also be the minimum air rate of either/or bank has gone out of sync and my just need to be readjusted.

car runs great but after it warms up, while driving, if you let up the gas more times than not the rpm drops very quickely below 500 then dies..It starts fine and Idle's right at 950.
