Mark, There are a couple of OEM pumps available with different flow rates, yes, 348 runs two pumps. F355 run both one pump and two pump systems. But all you need is to calculate your fuel volume requirements for your installation (???). Then buy a pump that will supply a bit more flow rate. Fuel line diameter is only a restriction if you go too small.

Mark, I'm going to start by saying that i am not an expert, but I read what I found in the WSM. The fuel pump return valve open at 1.5 bars and shunts the fuel (in case of an obstruction) at 8 bar. I am uncertain of the flow rates. It seems from what I read that you should not have a problem running one pump to both banks provided it can provide enough flow. Vincent. |

Does anybody know the fuel pump output pressure/ flow rate for a 348? I'm going ot be installing an engine in an environment that uses a fuel tank without an integrated pump so need ot source an external one. Assumption is that fuel line will be identical diameter to original I believe the 348 may run two pumps? if I was to run only one serving both banks can anybody see a problem with this either from ECU control or fuel flow? thanks |
