Karl, how can it have a 25 hp increase, when the Euro versions of the 328, with no cats to begin with, are only rated at 10 hp more than US models? (270 vs. 260) |

Just my $.02 worth...I built a stainless bypass pipe for my 328 and euro tuned it and it makes a world of difference. My friend who does inspections says he's pretty positive it will pass inspection without a problem. Breathe easier burn more efficient. Just my experience, LUCH p.s. @25hp increase |

Randy, with all due respect, who cares? As Rob stated, what is more important? 10 extra HP for you or a WHOLE lot more pollution for the rest of us? |

Newer catylist have a much more robust matrix and cannot be 'gutted'. Go green, keep the environment clean. As stated in many other threads, removing modern catylists will gain little or no power. If you want a louder sound, change the muffler. |

Straight test pipes have a somewhat 'harsh' sound. The "euro resonator" from Stebro sounds much better (deeper), since it has a small expansion chamber with stainless steel wool. I would guess that a hollowed cat would be similar to the Stebro tube since it's not straight through. |

What type of difference in terms of sound and performance would one get with a hollowed cat when compared to removing the cat and installing test pipes? Ken |
