Steve... I've belonged to Ferrari Owners for quite a while. What I need are photos of the "correct" original oil cooler installation, but I sincerely appreciate your effort to help.

Best regards,
Andy

Andrew,

My workshop manual is of little use as well. It covers only the wet sump engine.

Andy -- "SPC" = "Spare Parts Catalogue" so since you've already got the "parts book" I understand how sometimes the illustrations are oriented or shown in ways that don't always reveal every desired detail. (I wouldn't have posted if your original post had disclosed your already checking the OM and the parts book for information -- which is what everyone should do IMO for such issues and is why the Owners site is so valuable.)
FerrariUK is the F parts supplier associated with the Owner's website. You'll need to go to www.owners.ferrari.com and register (which can take some effort, but it's well worth it IMO). The Owner's site has the OMs available, and if you follow the "spare parts" links you get to the FerrariUK site that has the SPCs for all the models they cover.

Chris, thank you very much, but if you can find more detailed installation shots, that's what I really need.

Steve, thank you for your reply also. Two things, what's Ferrari UK's web address.... and what's an "SPC illustration"? Neither my parts book nor owner's manual shows the mounting. I'm trying to go "original".

Andy -- Is the SPC illustration at the FerrariUK site no help?

Andrew,

Here is a portion of an engine picture that kind of shows the oil cooler (the best picture I have here at work). Unfortunately my digital camera has stopped working and I have not replaced it yet, so I cannot get you a better picture. Ask any specific questions you have and hopefully someone can answer them. I just had my oil cooler out this past winter. I do not recall anything being too tricky.

Would you 308 dry-sumpers mind posting engine bay pics showing the mounting and ducting of your oil coolers? Thanks much.

Regards,
Andy
