I did the compressor and receiver/dryer. Fill it up with 134a kit follow directions and it blows at 40 degrees out the ducts. Go for it

Steve, Did you change the other parts normally necessary to convert to 134a? Does it supply a really nice flow of cold air? I live in Texas and need some serious cooling.

My 1980 model either has a major leak, or some other problem, but not getting any cool air.

If its the York compressor , I put one in my 77 308 and it was a direct replacement. The only thing I did was to use the old clutch assembly. In fact I just finished cam belts and pulled the compressor to do it. Filled it up with 134a tonight and blowing at 40 degrees.

I got a NAPA part # 258108 from an earlier thread. O'Reilly parts wants $135.00 for it. has anyone installed this compressor and it worked??
