Phillip,
Just to be clear remove the surrounds from the speedo and tach. Each switch on the left has it's own cover, but the lights in the switches are LED s which are soldered inside the individual switch assys. The clock/odometer panel cover doesn't have to come off, you can get to any bulbs from the back of the assy once it is removed, and the idiot light cover is integral to the panel.

Phillip,
I just did that on my 85 Cab. Just get a body pick. It's a piece of heavy guage wire that has a small L on the end. Use it like a mechanical fingernail and get behind the plastic surronds on the gage cover panels. Work the pick behind the perimeter of the covers a little at a time so you can pull them straight out, they snap in, and there will be screws visible around the tach and speedo. A small screwdriver might suffice, but be careful that you don't let it slip or you will scratch the covers. There are 4 screws on each, as I recall. Take the screws out and you can pull all of the gages and switches, as well as the clock and odometer panel out so you can get to the bulbs.
