I found my heater blower motors to be strong. You will want to check to see if the hose that connects to it has any holes in it. |

Be careful when testing cicuits. When testing cooling fan circuits on a friends TR I found voltage to both Left and Right hand fan motors but only the R/H would run. Although the L/H cicuit carried 12 volts it wouldn't deliver enough amperage to turn the motor. We are zeroing in on the fuse/relay panel for loose or corroded connectors. The fans on my 308 are strong. Could it be the 'riveted' spade connectors on the back of the fuse block on your 308? DJ |

I have always found the 308/328 blowers to be strong enough. Are you sure you don't have any sort of obstruction? Wouldn't be hard for those things to suck up some leaves or something. |

While were on the subject of blowers... Has anyone installed better blowers to a 308? The stock ones never did move that much air, and looking at there position in the car, it seems that there is room for larger units. |

thanks Mark. I'm going to have to trace it around the fuse box...no voltage at the motors currently. |

Paul: Check the Parts & Service section for Carl Rose's repair procedure. Additionally, on June 27th, there was another thread with a Mondial heater blower and Steve Magnesson wrote a detailed trouble shooting procedure. |

I know it is hot as heck in the NE now and I don't need heat...but my blower motors stopped working and as part of my cooling system/hose replacement service, I want to get them functioning again. Fuse is fine, 12 volts at the fuse box...no voltage at the motors..no light on dash...jumped the motors and they work.. Can't find a relay in the wiring diagram...does anyone know if there is one? My next check is on the switch in the console...I just didn't think it would fail at the switch. |
