I was also told that bigger tires on the front would make steering more difficult, but that wasn't the case on my QV, and it improved handling a whole lot. |

Dave, What's the treadwear rating on the SO3's? Rob |

I used Bridgestone SO3's on my former QV and on my 328. They ride very nicely and really stick. Comparison tests show they are superior in wet conditions as well. I would stick to the stock dimensions. Fatter rubber will increase the steering effort and unsprung weight. I have a set of 17's for my 328 shod with 225's and 245's (also SO3's). They do improve grip quite noticeably, but for driving on public roads, I prefer the stock wheels and tires. I use the 17's for track now. I would follow Mike's advice and visit tirerack.com. Loads of info there. The stock sizes can be bought in every brand and performance level. Dave |

Another option is Dunlop Sport 8000. The treadwear is 200. I have used them on my other cars as well as my 308 and am very happy with them. Rob Baylor www.ultimatepedals.com 310 798-1434 |

Do a search -- tire options have been discussed a lot here. I'd suggest you change to add a little more rubber on the road -- you can put 225/50's on the front and 245/45's on the rear. Any Z-rated tire is going to have pretty soft rubber. For perhaps the best blend of comfort, cost and performance for your QV, I'd suggest Yokohama AVS ES100's in those sizes. Check www.TireRack.com

I presently have GoodYear F1, 205/55ZR16 front and 225/50ZR 16 rear Tires on 308 I have been told GoodYear Tires are hard riding what does form think would give a softer ride Tire. Living in Detroit with are wonderful roads Ha Ha I'm looking for a softer ride. |
