TrueValue, other HW stores sell 1" square adhesive backed foam for sealing around window A/Cs. Comes rolled up in a plastic bag in the window insulation/weatherstripping section of the store. Glue 2 strips together & it's about the original foam's width. Mine's held up fine for 2 seasons.

The foam blockage strips on the sides of and underneath the radiator of my '85 308 are very deteriorated. Given the heat inherent in that location, ie directly in touch with the radiator, do I need any special type of foam rubber strips or will any old stuff hold up OK? |
