Chris,

1. Is a complete rectangle panel with LED on it. They light up when you press the buttons in, where you have the five holes cut out.

2. As you can see in the photo the five holes need to be spaced out.

Not sure about 3 and 4.

Chris,
1. What shows through are indicator lights, such as parking light, etc...
2. I need to double check for you, but I think that the divisions are not necessary... I'll be able to get behind the car on sunday to take some pictures
3. Initial thought - yes, they are important to hold the buttons in place
4. same as 3.

I'll get you some behind the console pictures after sunday.

B.

We're finishing up our carbon fiber 348 upper center consoles, and I have a few technical questions related to hardware attachment.

1. In the first pic of the front of the console, what shows through the dark "frosted" plastic area circled in red?

2. In the second pic of the rear of the console, are these "divisions" (circled in red) necessary, or will one open rectangle, covered in dark frosted plastic, work?

3. What is the function of the row of five openings below the previously mentioned frosted dark plastic area? These openings have "ridges" behind them (circled in green). I assume these ridges hold whatever goes in these openings in place. Are the ridges important?

4. There are more ridges (circled in blue) around the large round gauge openings. It seems like these ridges, which are different from the above ridges, hold the gauges back a certain distance from the surface of the console. Again, necessary?

Thanks so much for all your help. We're trying hard to make a really high quality product to compliment the shifter console.
