Basically you take the compressor off and let the oil pour out of the fittings. |

Here's a procedure that Sanden published. Seems to be pretty comprehensive. http://www.sanden.com/support/RETRO.html |

I've got my A/C apart now (with all hose ends sealed to prevent moisture getting into the system) to convert from R12 to R134A. I met with an A/C expert and they told me to get as much of the old oil out as possible then add 8oz of ester oil (Pag is the other oil they recomended but said that Ester is better if not replacing the compressor). Anyway how do I drain it out? Is there a drain plug or do I just take the hose off and let it sit and drain. Thanks, Bill |
