When I do it, I just put several drops into the exhaust port of the pump. If you've opened one of these you will see that its a straight shot to the vanes from the exhaust port.

If the compressor is original, there should be a small plastic cap that flips open right on the top. However, some of the replacement compressors (i.e. aftermarket look a likes) were of "oil-less" design, and had no provisions for adding oil)...

Hmm, come to think of it..look on the sides of the compression for the fill plugs, as well.

You don't remove the cover of the compressor to oil..

I noticed that my manual calls for adding a few drops of oil to the air horn unit on my '85 308. Where does one add the oil? I see no openings in the top of the unit--only 3 screws which likely keep the top on. Do you remove the top to do this?
