PM1 -4 is

Top Dead Center Cylinder 1 or cylinder 4 with the cams in, and TDC cylinder 1 with the cams out.

I know this is somewhere in the archives but I cant find it. The timing marks on my 308 flywheel are almost worn off. I can make out PM1. What does this mark signify. Thanks
