The way I remember is to "...put them on backwards...", meaning, when tightening, turn the lug nuts towards the rear. Jim S. |

On the left side one tightens Clockwise. On the right side one tightens Couner-clockwise. Just think, Opposite to the rotation of the wheel, while the car is in motion, one tightens. And one loosens by going with the rotation of the wheel. This is the same as on the Boxer. |

Luigi...the driver's side wheel bolts loosen up turning counter-clockwise, and the passenger's side bolts loosen up turning clockwise. Just a simple rule, the bolts are always tightened up the opposite direction of the wheels when the car is in forward motion. I hope this makes sense. |

I'm doing the front brakes on my 87tr. I have the single lugs and am ready to remove them to change my front brakes. But before I start I thought I better ask this question. Are the threads on the right hand side and the left hand side of the front wheels the same? And are they remove clock wise or remove counter clock wise. You see there's an arrow under the horse symble on the center hub that is pointing clock wise on the rh side and counter clock wise on the lh side. Thanks |
